25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Interiano conducted a Case Management inspection and met with Director, Sushma Krishna. Purpose of the inspection was explained to Director. Facility operates on the second floor of the ‘Angus Hall’ on the Trinity Church property. Program operates in 2 classrooms: ‘Laurel’ and ‘Pine’ rooms with an Art Studio connecting the two classrooms. Program operates M-F, 7:30a-6p, following the school district calendar with a summer camp. Present during the inspection is Director and 4 Staff supervising 27 PreK children. Program is in compliance with Staff:Child ratios.
LPA and Director inspected facility indoors for Health and Safety Hazards. Director may request an increase of capacity by adding another classroom to the license. Classroom may need minor renovations, which will be done during the summer.
Preliminary measurements of the classroom:
*measures 645.32-742.72 square feet, allowing for up to 21 children.
*Laurel, Pine, and Art Studios were remeasured, allowing for 40 children.
Children’s restroom is in between Laurel and Pine classrooms and has 4 toilets and 2 sinks. Each classroom has an additional sink, so total of 4 accessible sinks in the facility.
Outdoor space was not measured.
Based on preliminary measurements of indoor space only, facility could be licensed for 60 PreK children.
Director states once the plans are finalized, then an increase of capacity Application will be submitted and a follow up inspection will be required.
