25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Interiano conducted a Case Management inspection and met with Director, Sushma Krishna via a Tele-inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained to Director. Facility currently operates on the second floor of the ‘Angus Hall’ on the Trinity Church property and operates in 2 classrooms: ‘Laurel’ and ‘Pine’ rooms with an Art Studio connecting the two classrooms.
Facility is requesting an increase of capacity from 36 Preschool age children to 55 Preschool children. Two classrooms: The ‘Upper Classroom’ and the ‘Good Shepherd’ room in the ‘Trinity Hall’ has been requested to be added to the License.
Director lead LPA on a virtually inspection of the facility indoors for Health and Safety Hazards. Per the facility sketch,
> The ‘Upper classroom’ measures 468 square feet, allowing for 13 children.
> The ‘Good Shepherd’ room measures 626 square feet, allowing for 18 children.
The Trinity Hall, which is in between both classrooms, will be a multipurpose area for meals and periodic use for indoor activities. There are two accessible restrooms in the building: restroom#1 has 3 toilets and 2 sinks, and restroom#2 has 2 toilets, 1 urinal, and 2 sinks. Program has exclusive use of the classrooms, Trinity Hall, and restrooms.
Outdoor space was not measured, however per facility sketch, outdoor space has been measured to be 3390 square feet, allowing for 45 PreK children. Classrooms will have scheduled use of the outdoor space. A waiver requested must be submitted and will be pending Supervisor’s review.
Fire clearance was granted on 07/14/20.
Once waiver for outdoor play area has been approved, License will be updated allowing capacity of 55 PreK children.
