25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rodriguez made an unannounced Case Management visit and met with Site Director Brigidan Bogni-Rodriguez today. The purpose of this inspection was explained.
The Child Care Licensing Department received information on February 6, 2020 that this facility was a victim of vandalism during the previous weekend. Per Site Director, the facility made a report to the police department who came out to inspect the daycare facility. Per Site Director, the facility has cleaned up the vandalized areas to make sure it was safe for the children. The facility continued to operate during this time.
LPA Rodriguez inspected the areas that were vandalized and did not see any hazardous items. Per Site Director, the playhouse the children use had its windows broken. The glass was cleaned up but the house will be made inaccessible until the windows can be fixed. Families of the program were notified of the vandalism.
During today's inspection LPA discussed licensing issues and questions with the Site Director and updated her with changes to licensing procedures. LPA also discussed reporting requirements with the Site Director and provided a blank Unusual Incident Report LIC 624 to Site Director Brigidan Bogni-Rodriguez. The facility will submit the unusual incident report by Friday February 7, 2020.
No deficiencies cited today.
