25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Cindy Interiano and Marie Rodriguez, conducted an Annual/Random inspection this day and met with Principal, Francesca Brake; Site Supervisor/Teacher, Michele Turchetti; and Site Supervisor/Teacher, Anna Reitman (Moorman). Purpose of the inspection is explained. No children were present during the inspection. First day of school is scheduled for 08/22/19. Facility operates M-F, 7:45a-2:15p following the School calendar. Facility operates on the Sacred Heart School campus. The Preschool program operates in the PreK/Kindergarten Building: Rooms #1, #2 ,#3 and in the Spieker Building: Room #608. Classrooms have age appropriate toys and equipment that are in good repair. Lockers with cubbies and hooks are used to store children’s belongings. Napping equipment is properly stored in each classroom. Classrooms have an industrial fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Classrooms have proper ventilation and sufficient lighting. Each classroom is equipped with two restrooms, each with a toilet and a sink. Restrooms are maintained clean, in good repair, and with adequate supplies. There are separate staff restrooms, which are maintained off limits to children. Medications are stored in the office and/or in the classroom, inaccessible to children. Medication is maintained up-to-date with a Doctor’s prescription, Guardian consent form, and a log. First Aid kit is fully equipped and properly stored in each classroom. All cleaning products and toxins are stored inaccessible to children. Program provides AM snack and children bring their own meals. There are no bodies of water, firearms or other dangerous weapons on the premises. Outdoor play area is divided into the Preschool playyard and the Kinder Play yard. Play structures, toys and equipment on the Preschool play yard are age appropriate and are kept in good repair. Outdoor play area is maintained free of debris and dangerous conditions. A daily sweep of the outdoor play area is conducted by staff prior to children going out for outdoor play. Outdoor playarea is completely fenced in. Sandbox is covered daily and inspected throughout the day. LPAs reminded Principal and Site Supervisors about no co-mingling of the PreK children with the Private School children, unless on special occasions. Drinking water is readily available indoors and outdoors. Emergency drills are conducted monthly and are properly logged. All required postings are properly posted in the main Hallway. All staff have required immunization and Mandated Reporter training certificate on file.
