Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Interiano conducted an Annual/Random inspection and met with Site Supervisor, Diana Alcazar-Lopez. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Program operates M-F, 7a-5p, year-round with periodic breaks throughout the year. Facility operates in one large classroom in the ‘Job Train; building. Present in the facility is Site Supervisor and 3 Staff supervising 12 PreK children. Program is in compliance with Staff:Child ratios. All staff have criminal record clearance. LPA and Site Supervisor inspected facility indoors and outdoors for Health and Safety hazards. Classroom has age appropriate toys and equipment that are in good repair. Hooks, Cubbies, and bins are available for children’s belongings. Classroom has a restroom with 2 toilets and 1 sink. There are additional sinks inside the classroom. Restrooms are maintained clean, in good repair and with adequate supplies. Classroom has a separate Staff restroom, which is maintained off limit to children. Napping equipment is properly stored. Program uses food vendor ‘Chefables,’ who deliver snacks and meals daily. Facility has a fully supplied Emergency Kit and Emergency supplies, which are maintained inaccessible to children. Facility currently does not have any enrolled children requiring medication, however when required, medications are stored in Kitchen area, which is off limits to children, with Doctors' prescription and Administration Log. Kitchen is maintained off limits to children. Classroom is equipped with a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Last Emergency Disaster drill was conducted on 06/24/19 and is properly logged. Discipline policy is mainly redirection. Outdoor play area is maintained free of debris and dangerous conditions and completely fenced. A daily sweep is conducted by staff of the outdoor play area, including sand area, prior to children going out for outdoor play. All outdoor toys and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. Drinking water is readily available outdoors and indoors. All mandatory postings, including menus, are properly posted. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed and are complete. Staff and Children's files are up-to-date and complete, including adult immunization.
