25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pandora Huffman-Smith made a case management inspection today and met with the Principal, Karrie Haselton. The purpose of today's inspection is to inspect classroom #T13 for usage by the school age program. This program was previously licensed to operate in classrooms T10 and T12, but will now operate in classrooms T12 and T13. There will be no change in capacity and the facility will remain licensed for 28 children. There are two bathrooms in classroom T13 that are equipped with one toilet and one sink in each. There is also a sink in the classroom with a drinking fountain for children's usage. There are also two bathrooms for children's usage in classroom T12. The classroom appears to be clean and no health and safety hazards were observed during today's inspection.
The facility's outdoor play area will be going through minor construction on July 8, 2019. The projected date of completion is July 19, 2019. The Principal has requested to temporarily use the outdoor play area next door at College Park Elementary School. This play area is adjacent to the facility. LPA inspected and measured the outdoor play area and the total square footage is 15740 allowing for 209 children. LPA advised that no more than 209 children will be allowed to be present in the temporary outdoor play area at any one time. The College Park School play area appears to be safe and no apparent health and safety hazards were observed. LPA advised that if the construction of the facility's play area goes beyond July 10, 2019, CCL will need to be notified. A request for temporary waiver to use the College Park School play area has been submitted.
The following is required prior to approval;
- Fire clearance is for classroom T13 is required.
- Approval of temporary waiver for usage of College Park Elementary Schools outdoor play area.
