25 | On July 13, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kaur, conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with Licensee Maria Garcia Matilde. The purpose of the inspection was explained and granted entry to the home by the Licensee. There is one child in care with Licensee and her husband. The Licensee owns this single-family home. Day Care Areas: garage, the living room, kitchen, the bathroom, and the backyard. Off Limit Areas all bedrooms. Hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM. Per Licensees, sick children will be separated from the group and waiting for the parent to pick them up in the living room.
LPA and Licensee inspected the daycare areas for health and safety hazards. During the inspection, LPA observed the following: The daycare area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment for the children. The home has adequate lighting and ventilation. The house has a working smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher. First aid supplies are available for children. Per Licensee, there are no firearms, weapons, or pets in the home. LPA observed no pools, spas, or other bodies of water on the premises. The Licensee had posted all the required forms (i.e., License, Notification of Parent's Rights, Earthquake preparedness checklist, and Notification of Personal Rights). Per Licensee, fire drills are conducted every 6 months; the last fire drill was conducted on June 17 2022
LPA reviewed 1 child's records and staff records. LPA observed that the Licensee maintained records of each child accordingly; identification and emergency information, consent for medical treatment, and parent's rights were appropriately completed. The Licensee and her husband have maintained a record of immunization, and CPR & First Aids training for all staff are valid. |
