25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee Delia Ceja and explained purpose of inspection. Present in the home were the Licensee and three children (one preschool aged and two infants). Licensee is operating within capacity requirements on this day. All adults living or working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Day Care Areas: Living room, kitchen, dining room, family/play room, half bathroom, and backyard. Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom, and garage.LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There are no bodies of water on the premises. There is a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. Fireplace is properly barricaded. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children. There is a working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone. Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the home.
Three children records reviewed were complete. All children have a record of emergency identification on file. Licensee's record was complete. Licensee has a pediatric first aid/CPR certificate which expires March 2023. Licensee will schedule a class to renew certificate. Last emergency drill was conducted in January 2023. Emergency drills are conducted at least once every six months and are properly logged.
No deficiencies cited today under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12.
Licensee was reminded, as of September 1, 2016, all staff and volunteers must provide proof of immunization against pertussis, measles, and influenza, or qualifies for an exemption, pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.622. |
