25 | On June 27, 2024 at approximately 12:10pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo, conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Rosalind Bradford, and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during LPA's visit included licensee and 4 children (2 preschool age and 2 infants). Licensee is operating within capacity limits and ratio. Licensee has fingerprint clearance on file.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm. The DAY CARE AREAS are living room (sleeping only), converted garage/main day care area, hallway bathroom, portion of the backyard and the front yard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the kitchen (pass by only), all three bedrooms and portion of the backyard. Off limit areas are appropriately barricaded.
With licensee, LPA inspected day care areas, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There are a variety of toys, materials and equipment that are in good condition. LPA observed cleaning supplies, solutions and poisons made inaccessible, in home's high shelves. There is a fireplace in the living room that is made inaccessible to children. LPA observed kitchen cabinets to include child safety locks. LPA observed accessible cabinets in day care areas to be free of poisons. Tables and shelves with sharp edges include additional padding for safety.
Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher and multiple smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. LPA was unable to test carbon monoxide detector during visit. Per licensee, carbon monoxide detector is hard wire and connected to the local fire department.
Bathroom for children's use was observed to be clean. There is a diaper changing table in the main day care area. Per licensee, dirty diapers are disposed after each use to the garbage bin in front yard.
