25 | On November 3, 2022 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Cowan conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection, and met with Licensee, Jody Bordessa. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection, and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present in the facility is Licensee and helper caring for 12 children (2 infants and 10 preschool age). Facility was inspected and Day-care areas are: 2 rooms on lower level, lower level bathroom, and back yard. Off Limits areas are: The entire upper level of home and upper level of backyard, and deck. Facility operates from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM.
At 9:40 AM, LPA observed the following: Day-care area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children. Home has sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The fireplace in day-care area is properly screened. Home has a hot tub in the back yard that is covered and latched closed. There are no poisons, detergents, or cleaning products accessible to day-care children. Licensee states there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. Licensee’s CPR expires in 3/9/23. Licensee conducted last emergency drill on 10/10/22, and it is properly logged. Licensee provides daily snacks and meals. Discipline policy is mainly redirection.
