25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Director Ann Cauterucci and explained purpose of the inspection. Center is located inside the school wing of the Congregation Beth Jacob Temple. Center is a preschool with a toddler component and provides a half day program with extended care up to 2:00pm. Present at the center were the Director, four teachers, and 13 preschool aged children. School is operating within capacity requirements and in compliance with child to staff ratio. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Class is taught from 9:00am to 12:00pm. There is extended care called Lunch Bunch from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
LPA toured school with Director. There are no bodies of water, firearms, or weapons on the premises. Toddler room is in Room 7 (Alef) for children ages 18 to 30 month olds; Room 11 (Gimmel) is for children 2 1/2 to 3 years old; Room 14 (Hey) is for 3 to 4 year olds; and Room 15 (Dalet) is for 4 years old and up. Classrooms are in good condition with proper temperature and ventilation and are free of any hazards. Furniture in each classroom are in good repair. Each classroom has age appropriate toys and equipment. There are separate bathrooms for boys and girls. Bathrooms appear to be clean, in good repair, and free of any hazards. There is a separate bathroom for staff usage on the premises. The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision with age appropriate toys and equipment in good condition. Play structures are in good condition with sufficient cushioning underneath.
All required postings and waivers are posted by the entrance to the school wing. Snack is only provided by the center. Children who attend their Lunch Bunch bring their own lunches. Food preparation area is clean and free of any toxins or contamination. All food is properly stored to avoid contamination. Drinking water is available for children indoor and outdoors. All storage containers for solid waste have a proper lid. All cleaning products, chemicals, and toxins are inaccessible to children. |
