Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Faye Bremer and Jyoti Saini conducted an unannounced Case Management Annual Continuation inspection. LPAs met with Director Mimi Schmalz and explained purpose of inspection. There were 19 children present in the 2's room with 2 teachers, 20 children present in the PreK room with 2 teachers, 12 children present in the 3's room with 1 teacher, and 12 children present in the Kindergarten room with 1 teacher during LPAs' inspection.

LPAs toured and inspected the physical plant for health and safety hazards. This facility does not have any open bodies of water. Disinfectants were found unlocked and accessible to children in the 2's Classroom, under the changing table. Cots were observed to be clean and stored appropriately, and classroom is equipped with sufficient age appropriate toys and furniture. Emergency exits and passageways were clear of hazards. LPAs observed bleach to be accessible in unlocked Laundry closet, and with key stored on the door handle. Mens shaving cream and furniture polish were found to be stored in unlocked cabinets in hallway.

LPAs reviewed staff and children's files. Staff have required training, units, and forms on file. LPAs reviewed 9 children's files. All children's files reviewed have all required forms, agreements and assessments on file.

Deficiency cited today under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Div 12, follows on LIC 809D
