25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrea Medlin met with facility representative for this required annual licensing visit. Purpose of visit explained. There were 54 children present during the visit. Facility meets teacher/child ratio today. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30AM-6:00PM. Children's bathrooms and sinks are present. All toilets and sinks are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Facility is adequately furnished with age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment. Bedding cots are available for napping and are stored appropriately; parents provide napping supplies and wash once a week. Outdoor play areas are adjacent to classrooms and are securely fenced. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. No pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water are present. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and toxics are inaccessible to children. Per staff, there are no firearms or weapons on site. Variety of age appropriate toys and materials for children are available in the classroom. Sick children will be separated from the group and wait for parent to pick up in the staff office. Drinking water is available both indoors and out through water pitcher and cups. Facility provides snacks and the parent's have the option to bring a home lunch or purchase a lunch from the facility's vendor. First Aid supplies are available. Facility has posted all the required licensing forms. LPA reviewed staff and children's files. In the files reviewed, all are complete. Staff have the required immunizations: measels (MMR) and pertussis (TDap); staff have verification of the mandated child abuse reporter training as compliant with AB1207. At least one staff has current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
