25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Interiano, met with Licensee, Rita Ruey-Ting Lu for an Annual/Random inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present was Licensee, Husband, and Helper caring for 12 children (3 infants, and 9 PreK age). Licensee owns home and lives with Husband. Home is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 2 level house. All adults have criminal record clearance. Facility was inspected and the Daycare areas are: First Level: Playroom (aka Living Room), Bedroom #1, Nap room (aka Office), Bathroom #0.5, and portion of the backyard. Off limit areas are: First Level:(open concept) Kitchen, Dining, and Family Room (pass by only), Bathroom #1 (inside Bedroom #1), Garage, portion of the backyard, front yard, Entire Upper Level: Bedroom #2, #3, #4, #5, Bathroom #2, #3. All off limit areas, including closets are maintained properly barricaded. LPA observed the following: Daycare area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children. Home has sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Chimney in the Playroom is properly barricaded. Home has no bodies of water. There are no poisons, detergents, or cleaning products accessible to daycare children. Licensee states there are no guns/weapons in the home. Licensee’s CPR expires in 08/2020. Licensee conducted last emergency drill on 12/02/19 and is properly logged. Licensee provides daily snacks and meals. Discipline policy is mainly redirection. All required postings are properly posted. Licensee and Helpers have required proof of immunization on file, as well as Mandated Reporter training certificates. Children’s roster was reviewed and is complete and up-to-date.
