25 | On June 29, 2022 at approximately 12:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Mary Gunion, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present in the home were licensee and 3 enrolled children (all preschool age). Licensee is operating within capacity limits and ratios at time of inspection.
All adults living and/or working in the home have fingerprint clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Licensee owns the home which is a single-level, four bedroom, three bathroom home that includes two living rooms, dining area, kitchen, and backyard. The DAY CARE AREAS are living room #2, dining area, kitchen, bathroom #1 (located in living room #2), bathroom #2 (diaper changing only), bedrooms #1 and #2 (napping rooms only), bedroom #3 (circle time room), and backyard. The OFF-LIMIT AREAS are living room #1 (pass by only), bedroom #4, bathroom #3 (located in master bedroom). Both off limit and day care areas have child safety locked handles.
With licensee, LPA inspected day care areas for health and safety hazards. LPA observed home to be clean, in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals were made inaccessible to children. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment that were in good condition.
Entire backyard is enclosed with an at least 5ft high fence. LPA did not observe home to have any pools, spas or bodies of water on the property. The backyard is equipped with appropriate outdoor toys and equipment that were in good working condition. LPA observed little play structures in backyard to be age appropriate with resilient padding.
There was a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and working telephone on site. Phone number listed for licensee is current. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
