25 | On October 14, 2022 at 8:43 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Cowan conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection, and met with Licensee, Ana Navarro. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present in the facility is Licensee and helper caring for 9 children (2 infants and 7 preschool age). Licensee lives in a 4 bedroom home with spouse and minor child. Facility was inspected and Day-care areas are: Rear sun room, rear bedroom, bathroom #2, and back yard. The rest of the home is off limits. The days and hours of operation are: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. When LPA arrived, children were participating in circle time and some children were eating breakfast. Children soon transitioned to singing time with a music teacher.
At 8:45 AM, LPA observed the following: Day-care area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children. Home has sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. There are no bodies of water on the property. There are no poisons, detergents, or cleaning products accessible to day-care children. Licensee states there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. Licensee’s CPR expires in 16/8/23. Licensee conducted last emergency drill on 10-2-12 and is properly logged. Licensee provides daily snacks and meals. Discipline policy is mainly redirection. All required postings are properly posted.
