25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Family Engagement Coordinator Sofia Zwass and explained purpose of inspection. Site Supervisor Marisol Ostorga arrived a short time later. Facility is a preschool center with a toddler component. Present at the center were the Site Supervisor, Family Engagement Coordinator, three teachers, one teacher's assistant, and 16 children (5 toddlers and 11 preschool aged). Center is operating within capacity requirements and in compliance with child to staff ratio. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm.
LPA inspected preschool and toddler classrooms and outdoor play area with Family Engagement Coordinator. There are no bodies of water, firearms, or weapons on the premises. The center is in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation and is free of any hazards. All furniture is in good condition. Each classroom has age appropriate toys and equipment. Napping equipment in each classroom is in good condition and is properly stored when not in use. A first aid kit is available in each classroom. All cleaning products and toxins are inaccessible to children. Outdoor play area is separated for preschool and toddler use. The outdoor play areas are fenced for supervision. The outdoor toys and equipment are age appropriate and in good condition. Play structures are age appropriate and in good repair. There are adequate cushioning underneath the play structures.
All required postings are properly posted on the bulletin board at the front entrance of the center. Breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks are provided by the center. Meals are provided through outside vendor Revolution Foods. Kitchen is inaccessible to children. Kitchen is clean and free of any toxins or contamination. All food is properly stored to avoid contamination. All storage containers for solid waste have a proper lid. Preschool classroom has a bathroom with one toilet and changing table with a sink right outside of the bathroom. Toddler classroom has a bathroom with one toilet, one sink, and a changing table. A second sink is located right outside the bathroom for children's use. Bathroom areas appear to be clean, in good repair, and free of any hazards. There is a separate bathroom for staff usage on the premises. |
