25 | On June 25, 2024 at approximately 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced, annual required inspection. LPA met with director, Kyra Pamela De Guzman, and explained the purpose of the inspection.
Facility is a combination center with a preschool and infant license. Present during inspection included 54 children total. 18 were part of the infant/toddler program and 16 staff members (including executive director). Facility is operating within capacity requirements and ratios on this date.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. With director, LPA inspected entire facility, indoors and outdoors, for health and safety hazards. Facility is a single level facility that includes 6 classrooms. 4 classrooms for the preschool license and 2 classrooms for the infant license. There is infant classroom #1 and infant classroom #2.
LPA observed infant classrooms to be clean, equipped with age appropriate toys, materials, and furniture. Storage for children's belongings are located inside each classroom, labeled with each child's individual names. Changing tables are within arm's reach of an adult sink.
LPA observed facility has an installation of a fire alarm system throughout the entire building. Facility has multiple fully charged fire extinguishers and fully stocked first aid kits in each infant room. Medication is stored appropriately in classrooms, inaccessible to enrolled children in higher up cabnit. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children in off limit areas or facility's high shelves. LPA observed bathrooms utilized by infants/toddlers potty training to be clean and in working condition.
Per director, facility parents provide solid foods and formula/milk. LPA observed kitchen and food prep area to be clean and orderly. Children's individual containers are properly labeled with children's individual names. Water is available to children indoors and outdoors with children's water bottles, labeled with child's individual names and/or water pitchers with disposable cups.
