25 | On November 30th, 2022 at approximately 12:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA met with licensee, Marina Morales. Present in the facility is licensee and assistant caring for 4 children (2 infants, 2 preschooler). School-Age child arrived towards the end of the inspection. All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance and associated to the facility.
Licensee owns home and lives with Husband, Adult child, and minor child. Home is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single level house. The hours of Operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. Daycare areas are: Family Room (back of the home), Bathroom #2, Backyard, and portion of fenced driveway. Off limit areas are: Living Room, Bedroom #1, #2, #3, and #4, Bathroom #1, Kitchen, Dining area (walk through only to Bathroom #2), Laundry room, Garage, portion of fenced driveway, and side yard. All off limit areas, including closets, are maintained properly barricaded.
LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee to inspect for health and safety hazards. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home does have a fireplace in an off limit area. There are no pets in the home. There are no pools, and bodies of water in the premises. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA reviewed four children's' record. LPA also reviewed facility and assistant records. Licensees CPR & First Aid Certificate will expire 10/2024. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expires 11/2024. Last Emergency drill was conducted 09/2022. Emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and should be properly logged.
