25 | On December 30, 2021 at 10:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual, required inspection. LPA met with licensee/director, Elizabeth Villagomez and explained the purpose of the inspection. Licensee currently rents the preschool classroom from the church, Grace Evangelical Lutheran. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. No children are currently present during inspection as program is still closed for holiday break.
LPA inspected entire facility for health and safety hazards. LPA observed preschool classroom to have a designated eating area, napping area and dramatic play area. Storage for children's belongings are located inside the classroom, labeled with each child's individual names. LPA observed facility has a fire alarm system, smoke and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher and fully equipped First Aid kit. Facility has a working telephone on site. All poisons, cleaning solutions and hazardous materials are stored inaccessible to children, locked under sink located in classroom. There were a variety of age appropriate toys for children in care. Mats are provided to napping children. LPA observed bathrooms to be clean and in working condition.
Per director, program does not provide a food service. LPA reminded director each child's individual containers should be labeled and properly stored to avoid contamination.
Children are signed in and out of facility by parents' written signatures. Facility has license documentation and information properly posted and available for review. LPA observed outdoor play area to be in good condition, equipped with age appropriate materials and fully fenced. Water is made available to children both indoors and outdoors.
