25 | On July 18 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Kaur, conducted an unannounced annual inspection and met with Licensee Evelyn Jimenez. The purpose of the inspection was explained and granted entry to the home by the Licensee. There are 4 children in care with Licensee and 1 helper. The Licensee owns this single-family home. Day Care Areas: Living Room, Bedroom # 1, Bedroom 2, Bedroom # 3, Bathroom in hallway, Dining Room, Kitchen and Backyard. Off Limit Areas is the garage. Hours of operations are Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Per Licensees, sick children will be separated from the group and waiting for the parent to pick them up in the living room.
LPA and Licensee inspected the daycare areas for health and safety hazards. During the inspection, LPA observed the following: The daycare area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment for the children. The home has adequate lighting and ventilation. The house has a working smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, LPA Kaur observed fire extinguisher needs to be recharged. First aid supplies are available for children. Per Licensee, there are no firearms, weapons, or pets in the home. LPA observed no pools, spas, or other bodies of water on the premises. The Licensee had posted all the required forms (i.e., License, Notification of Parent's Rights, Earthquake preparedness checklist, and Notification of Personal Rights). Per Licensee, fire drills are conducted every 6 months; the last fire drill was conducted on June 10 2022
LPA reviewed 4 children's records and staff records. LPA observed that the Licensee maintained records of each child accordingly; identification and emergency information, consent for medical treatment, and parent's rights were appropriately completed. The Licensee and helper have maintained a record of immunization and CPR & First Aids training for all staff are valid. |
