25 | On September 24, 2021 at 10:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Cowan conducts an unannounced case management inspection for capacity change. LPA meets with new site director Alexandra Miranda. The purpose of the inspection is explained.
There are 23 children with 7 staff present. This inspection is due to the receipt of a Capacity Change Application received in the regional office. The facility is changing their capacity from 36 to 44. The facility's prior capacity was 44. LPA will use the measurements previously established.
LPA inspects the room for health and safety hazard. LPA did not observe any violations of regulations this day. Director states that there has been no change in the set up of the rooms. The measurements on file for each room are as follows. The Sweet Potato Room measures 273 sq. ft allowing for 7 children. The Crickets room measures 456 sq. ft. allowing for 13 children. The Butterfly Room (formerly know as the grasshoppers) measures as 432 sq. ft. allowing for 12 children. And the Busy Bees Room (formerly know as the Butterflies) measures at 432 sq. ft. also allowing for 12 children. The total square footage is 1593 sq. ft to allow for a capacity of 45.
The outdoor measurement are on file for 1450 sq. ft, it's allowing 19 children. A new outdoor waiver must be submitted.
A Fire Clearance was granted to the facility on 9-13-21.
