Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cindy Interiano, met with Site Supervisor, Regina Enhuber. Purpose of the inspection was explained and was for a case management inspection to ‘add’ an additional room to the license. Facility is currently licensed for 80 School age children (ages 5-11 years old) in Rooms: #K2, #K3, #30 and #35. Facility has requested to add Room #34 to the license.
At the beginning of the inspection, no children were present in the Afterschool program since school was still in session. At end of inspection, present there were 6 Staff supervising 72 School age children. Program operates on the Oak Knoll Elementary School site, M/Tu/W/F 2:55p-6p and Thursday 1:25p-6p during the School District calendar. Program is closed during school breaks. Facility was inspected indoors and outdoors for Health and Safety hazards. Classrooms have age appropriate toys and equipment for children. Program has exclusive use of the outdoor space. Children are not allowed to go beyond the set boundaries of the playground, unless supervised by a staff. Outdoor play area is free of debris and dangerous conditions. All outdoor toys and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. Rooms are equipped with an industrial fire alarm, a carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher. Program has exclusive, scheduled use of 3 accessible Boys’ and Girls’ restrooms, which are maintained clean, in good repair, and with adequate supplies.

Rooms are on an operating school district site and has periodic fire inspections. On file is a current Fire inspection report.

Room: #34 is now approved and will be included in the School Age License.
