25 | On August 16th, 2023 at approximately 9:05am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted a case management inspection in response to a written request received from licensee Tal Tamir, to increase of capacity and to add rooms. LPA met with licensee, Tal Tamir and Director, Regina Enhuber and explained the purpose of the inspection. There are no children present. First day of school is August 23, 2023.
Facility has requested to increase capacity from 80 to 120 school age children. Also the request is to add Rooms, K2, 9, 15, 30. Facility is licensed already in K1, 17, 27, 29, 35, and gym. The program, being a school age program and operating on a functioning school site, is exempt from meeting square footage requirements for indoor/outdoor space and the sink/toilet to child ratio requirements. Fire Inspection on file is dated May 2023, licensee agrees to send a copy of the new fire inspection report once received.
LPA inspected rooms K1, K2, 9, 15, 17, 30, and 35 for health and safety hazards. Rooms are still being set up. Licensee and Director are aware that rooms should be free of hazards and will ensure they are safe for children in care prior to using them.
The following rooms and increased of capacity are approved for use effective today; K2, 9, 15, 30. Facility is licensed to be in K1, K2, 9, 15, 17, 27, 29, 30, 35, and gym.
Fingerprint clearances for staff working and associated to this location are centrally associated to another Newton facility location (Newton-Baywood, license 414001240).
