25 | On March 21, 2024 @ approx. 8:20AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maria Olguin-Leon met with Licensees, Day Anne Suspine & Anthony Esguerra for an unannounced annual inspection. The purpose of the inspection was explained. Present for today’s visit were both licensees, 6 children (3 infants & 3 preschoolers). All adults working at facility have fingerprint clearance. Licensee is operating within capacity and ratio requirements on this day. Hours of operation are Monday– Friday, 7:30-6:00pm.
LPA and Licensee toured the home for health and safety hazards. Home is a one-story home. Day Care Areas: Living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom #2 and backyard. Off limit areas: Bedroom #1 and garage. Fireplace in living room is properly barricaded with a child proof gate. Bathroom and kitchen cabinets are equipped with childproof locks. Stove is equipped with child safety knobs. Electrical outlets are properly secured with childproof covers. Home is clean, well light and has proper ventilation. Cleaning supplies and other potentially harmful items are stored inaccessible to children. There are plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning material, and playpens. Backyard has age-appropriate toys, playhouse, ride one toys, and small slide. Backyard has a wood deck, concrete patio, and grass area to cushion falls. Deck is fenced off with a 3 ft fence and the entire backyard is surrounded with a 5 ft. fence. LPA did not observe any pools, spas, or other bodies of water.
Home is equipped with a dual working carbon monoxide/smoke detector and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Isolation area for ill children will be in bedroom #2 and away from other children. LPA reviewed first aid kit and kit is fully stocked. Licensee has a landline and use a cell phone on the premises. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. Parents provide sheets for playpens and are sent home for washing.
