25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee Santos Victoria Moneyhun and explained purpose of inspection. Present in the home were the Licensee, Licensee's husband, Licensee's two minor children, a helper, and nine children (four infants and five preschool aged). Licensee is operating within capacity requirements on this day. All adults living or working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
Day Care Areas: Living Room, kitchen, dining area, bedroom #2 (toddler nap room), bedroom #3 (infant nap room), bathroom, deck, and backyard. Off Limit Areas: Master bedroom, garage, porch, and loft above garage. All off limit areas, including all closets are properly barricaded. LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee. Home is clean and orderly with sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has age appropriate toys and equipment available for children in care. Fireplace is properly barricaded. Home has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, a working telephone, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. The deck and backyard are clean and have age appropriate toys and outdoor equipment which are in good condition. The deck has a secured gate leading to the backyard and children are supervised going up and down the stairs. The play structure in the backyard is in good condition and has appropriate cushioning underneath. First aid kit is fully stocked and accessible. There are no pools, spas, or bodies of water on the property. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children. Licensee states there are no firearms in the home.
Nine children's records reviewed were complete. All children have a record of emergency identification information on file. Licensee and helper records reviewed were complete. Licensee and helper's Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate expires October 2022. Licensee and helper are scheduled to take a renewal class on October 25, 2022. Licensee will provide LPA with a copy of the certificate once the class is complete. Last emergency drill was conducted in August 2022. Emergency drills are conducted at least once every six months and are properly logged.
