25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marie Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee Liliana Del Barco and explained purpose of inspection. Present in the home were the Licensee, Licensee's husband/helper, and 13 children (9 preschool, and 4 school aged). Licensee is operating within capacity requirements on this day. All adults living or working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Day Care Areas: Classroom (dining room), play room, bathroom, patio, and backyard. Off Limit Areas: Kitchen, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, garage, and fenced off portion of backyard. LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There is a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. There is a small pond that is covered and in the off limit portion of the backyard. Outdoor toys and equipment in the backyard are age appropriate and in good repair. All cleaning supplies, poisons, and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children. There is a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
Thirteen children's records reviewed were complete. All children have a record of emergency identification information on file. Licensee and Licensee's husband/helper records reviewed were complete. Licensee and Licensee's husband's Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate expires May 2024. Last emergency drill was conducted in June 2022. Emergency drills are conducted almost every month and are properly logged.
No deficiencies cited today under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12.
Licensee was reminded about Mandated Reporter training available on CCLD website. Training must be completed every 2 years for Licensee and staff. Training can be taken online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. If training is not available in native language, a statement can be written stating exemption until the translation is available. |
