25 | On April 26th, 2023 at approximately 9am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA met with licensee, Sahar Mohajer . Present in the facility are licensee and two assistants caring for 7 children (3 infants and 4 preschool age). All adults living and working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file.
Licensee owns home, which is a two bedroom home. Licensee lives with husband and two minor children. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5pm. Daycare areas are: Living Room, Dining area, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #1, and portion of the Backyard. Off Limit areas are: Master Bedroom #2, Kitchen, Garage, Portion of Backyard, and front yard. All off limit areas, including the closets are properly barricaded.
LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home has a fireplace that is properly barricaded. Licensee has a pet dog with proper documentation. There were no pools, spas or bodies of water on the property. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed. Isolation for sick child is Bedroom #1.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
LPA reviewed 7 children's file which were complete and staff files. Licensee's CPR & First Aid Certificate expires on 04/2024. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Certificate expires on 07/2024. Last Emergency drill was conducted on 12/2022. Emergency drills are conducted at least once every six months and are properly logged. During today's inspection, LPA received an updated copy of LIC 610A, Emergency Disaster Plan.
