Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Singh met with director, Samantha Nesheiwat, and site director, Jennifer Nushwat, for a random annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present, there are 44 children with 11 teachers, site director and the director. Facility is operating with in the capacity and in compliance with staff child ratio on this day. Facility operate day care from Monday to Friday between 7 AM to 6 PM.

With director, LPA inspected the day care areas: Rooms – Starlight, Adv Starlight, Moonlight, Adv Moonlight, Sunshine, TK, Multipurpose room and Play yard. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water at the facility. Per director, there are no firearms or weapons in the facility. Facility has smoke detector, smoke detector. There are multiple fully charged fire extinguishers in the site. Facility has sprinkler system installed. Each room has first aide supplies available. All of the cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Facility has age appropriate furniture. Furniture is steady and in good repair. Facility has sufficient amount of sleeping matts. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. Facility has sufficient amount of sleeping matts available and stored appropriately. All toilets, hand washing facilities are in working condition with proper sanitation in place. Facility has drinking water available for children. All the materials and surface accessible to the children is clean and toxic free. Per director, facility provides the meal to the children. All the food is stored in properly manner and has lid to avoid any contamination. LPA observed food preparation area is free of litter. All of the food is stored adequately to prevent any contamination. There is drinking water in play yard for children. Play yard is free of hazards. All of the play structures are steady, in good repair and free of any loose parts. There is sufficient amount pads under the play structures to prevent any fall injuries. Play yard has shaded area for children.

At 11:30 AM, LPA reviewed the facility records. LPA observed that facility is using the electronic sign in / out and facility has approved waiver. Facility has well maintained roster available on site. LPA reviewed 13 random children's and staff's files. LPA observed facility has record of names, addresses and telephone numbers of each child's authorized representative. Each child's record contains immunization record. Facility has agreement signed by the parents for using the Brightwheel to communicate. Facility has consent of using sunscreen signed by the parents or authorized representative. There are menus posted at least one week in advance and are visible to the child's authorized representative. Facility has license and other required posting documents posted and visible for public. LPA observed all staff members has record of required immunization. Facility has record of conducting the fire or emergency drills. Per log, last drill was conducted on July 09, 2019.

LPA review AB 1207 with the director. As of January 1, 2018 all staff is required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. LPA observed the staff has completed the training and the completion certificates are on file.

LPA encourages the director to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. Licensee can also email at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov and ask to be added to the email list for the updates.

No deficiencies are cited today. The copy of this report is reviewed and provided to the director. Notice of site visit is posted and shall remain posted for next 30 days.
