Outdoor area was observed to be equipped with age appropriate materials that were in good working condition. Infant program playground is separate from preschool playground. Infant playground includes resilient padding for walking and crawling infants.
Children are signed in and out of facility by their authorized representatives' electronic signatures. Facility has license documentation and information properly posted and available for review in facility.
LPA reviewed facility records that included 7 children's records, 12 staff records (whom were present during inspection). LPA observed children's and staff's records to be complete. Multiple staff members on site, including executive director and center director, have a valid, CPR certificate that will expire 11/2023. Emergency drills are conducted monthly and are properly documented. Last emergency drill was conducted 07/19/2022. Infant sleeping logs are properly documented and maintained for each napping infant. Sleep logs include the time infants are sleeping, sleeping position and 15 minute time checks of when infant was last checked on.
Facility was informed that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662.
Director is aware that all staff are required to complete Mandated Reporter Training every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. LPA observed the completed certificate on file. LPA encourages director to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
