25 | On June 30th, 2022, approximately at 1:40pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. LPA met with licensee, Evelyn X. Rendon. Present in the facility are licensee and licensee's husband caring for 8 children (2 infant, 5 preschool age, and 1 school age). All adults living and working in the home have fingerprint clearance and associated to the facility.
Licensee rents home and lives with Husband and In-Laws. Home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single story house. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm. Facility was inspection and Daycare areas are: Living Room, Bedroom #1, Bathroom #1, Dining area, and portion of the back yard. Off limit areas: Kitchen, Laundry area, Bedroom #2 and #3, Garage, Bathroom #2, and portion of the backyard. All off limit areas are properly barricaded.
Licensee has requested to add a portion of the front yard. LPA inspected front yard for health and safety concerns. LPA has approved front yard. New Daycare areas are: Living Room, Bedroom #1, Bathroom #1, Dining area, portion of the back yard, and a portion of the front yard.
LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee to inspect for health and safety hazards. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home has a fireplace that is properly barricaded. There are no pets in the home. There are no pools, and bodies of water in the premises. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA reviewed children's' record. LPA also reviewed facility records. Licensees CPR & First Aid Certificate will expire 07/2023. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expires 11/2023. Last Emergency drill was conducted 06/17/2022. Emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and should be properly logged.
