On March 11, 2022 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection at Foster City Preschool and Day Care Center. LPA met with preschool teacher, T1, and explained the purpose of the inspection. At beginning of inspection, director was not present. T1 notified director of LPA's arrival. Present in the preschool program included 51 enrolled children and 8 teachers. Facility is operating within its capacity and is in compliance with staff/child ration on this date.

All individuals working at facility have record of fingerprint clearance. Preschool is located at Parkside Elementary and operates out of classrooms #27, 28, 29 and 30. Main entrance to preschool program is through side gate located on Eisenhower Street. Preschool main office is located in classroom #25. Preschool program operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.

With T1, LPA inspected the 4 classrooms and outdoor areas used for the preschool program. Each classroom has a working telephone on site, fully charged fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detectors. Entire facility has installation of smoke and fire alarm system. All cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals are stored inaccessible to children on facility's high shelves. Classrooms have age appropriate furniture and materials that are in good working condition. Storage for children's belongings are located in each classroom, labeled with children's individual names.

Each classroom has one bathroom with at least 2 toilets and 1 sink available. Bathrooms were observed to be in good working condition with appropriate sanitation products. There are accessible sinks located in the classrooms, separate from the bathrooms as well.
