Home is equipped with multiple fire extinguishers, multiple fully stocked first aid kits, working carbon monoxide detector and a working phone on site. Phone number listed for licensee is current. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home.
LPA observed fence in backyard area to be new and in good working condition. LPA did not observe any hazards with the new fence installed. Backyard area did not have any pools, spas or bodies of water on the property. LPA observed backyard to be equipped with appropriate outdoor toys and equipment that were in good working condition. Backyard is cushioned with artificial turf.
LPA reviewed 5 random children's records, whom were present during the inspection, which were complete. Children's records have emergency information on file. LPA also reviewed, licensee and both assistants' records, which were also complete. Licensee and both assistants present have a current, CPR certification that will expire 12/2023. Licensee and both assistants also have a current Mandated Reporter certification and required immunizations that were made available for review. Emergency drills are conducted at least once very six months and are properly logged. Last emergency drill was conducted 02/18/2023.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
