25 | On March 29, 2022 at 9:10am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Sunshine Valderrama and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present in the home were licensee, licensee's spouse, licensee's two helpers (H1 and H2), and 8 enrolled children (2 infants and 7 preschool age). Licensee is operating within capacity requirements on this date. All adults living and/or working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Hours of operations are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Licensee owns the home which is a single level, single family home. The DAY CARE AREAS are the main classroom, bedroom #2 (baby room), bathroom #1, bathroom #2 (located in baby room), and backyard. The OFF-LIMIT AREAS are the garage, master bedroom, bathroom #3 (located in master bedroom), living room, kitchen, dining room, and shack (located in backyard). All off limit areas are properly barricaded with child safety locked door handles or locked doors.
At approximately 10:00am, LPA toured day care areas of home with licensee. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home does not have a fireplace. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Baby room is equipped with age appropriate materials. Licensee utilizes cribs for enrolled infants and mats for enrolled preschool age children. All accessible electrical outlets are properly barricaded with child safety locked covers. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children in off limit areas, home's high shelves or child safety locked cabinets.
Outdoor area does not include any pools, spas or bodies of water. The entire backyard is enclosed with an at least 5 ft. high fence. Backyard was observed to have age appropriate equipment that were in good working condition. At approximately 10:30am, additional preschooler arrived to facility (9 enrolled children present during inspection).
