25 | On July 19, 2023 at approximately 8:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catrina Quimbo conducted an unannounced, annual inspection. LPA met with co-licensee, Jennifer Caceres, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during LPA's visit included co-licensee, Tula Herrera, licensee's assistant (A1), and 8 enrolled children (1 infant and 7 preschool age). Licensee is operating within capacity limits and ratio during LPA's visit. All adults living and/or working in the home have fingerprint clearance on file.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. The DAY CARE AREAS are the dining area (eating area), bedroom #2 (younger children nap room), bedroom #3 (older children nap room), indoor play room, outdoor playroom and backyard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the living room (pass by only), kitchen, garage, storage shed in backyard and outdoor patio (with stairs). Off limit areas are made inaccessible with child safety gates, child proof door handles and/or locked doors.
LPA toured day care areas of home with co-licensee. LPA observed home to be in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. Home is equipped with a variety of toys and materials that were observed to be in good working condition. Bathroom was observed to be in proper working condition. Cabinet in bathroom was observed to have a child safety lock. Home is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher, a working smoke and a working carbon monoxide detector.
Flooring in indoor and outdoor play rooms were observed to be in good working condition. Book shelves, cabinets, and sharp edges were observed to have additional padding for additional safety. Entire backyard is fully enclosed and fenced. Outdoor area includes outdoor equipment that was observed to be in proper working condition. LPA did not observe any pools, spas or bodies of water on site.
