25 | An annual comprehensive inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Glenn Schnell and Leslit Tapia-Mandujano. Analyst inspected the facility building and grounds, conducted an evaluation of the physical plant, and reviewed children, staff and facility records. A review of staff records during today’s visit indicates that all staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. A $100.00 civil penalty per person per day up to 5 days (max $500 per person) for the first violation within a 12-month period will be assessed for individuals who do not have fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the facility, or have regular and routine contact with the day-care children. For Subsequent violations within a 12-month period, a civil penalty of $100 person per day up to 30 days (max $3000 per person) will be assessed for individuals who do not have fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the facility or have regular or routine contact with the day-care children. Days and hours of operation are: 8am to 530pm, Monday through Friday.

Current rooms used for care B3, B1, A3 and B2. The toddler option component is located in room B2 and B3. Wall heaters located in the classrooms are not covered and site supervisor Desiree Blazaretti states the heaters are not used. LPA's reminded Balzaretti if the heaters are ever used, there needs to be coverings in place to make the vents inaccessible to children.
The following items were reviewed as part of today's visit: Care and Supervision of the Children, Child Discipline Procedures, Emergency Evacuation Procedures (smoke and carbon monoxide detectors present and in working order), Medication Policies, Isolation of Sick Children, Napping Requirements, Food Service (2 snacks offered, parents provide lunch, but during the COVID pandemic, parents are providing all foods), Transportation-none provided, Parents Rights, and Reporting Requirements. Posting requirements for site visits were also discussed as well as AB 633 requirements. Current forms and Title 22 Regulations can be obtained through the internet at www.ccld.ca.gov. Staff immunization's were reviewed.
