Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Van made an unannounced Annual Random inspection and met with Site Directors Jessica Mihaly. The purpose of the inspection was explained and granted entry to the facility by the Director. Present at the Center were the Site Director, 2 teachers, and 10 children. The Center is operating within capacity limits and in compliance with staff to child ratio. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

LPA, along with the Site Director, inspected the facility for health and safety hazards. LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises. Per Director, there are no firearms or weapons in the Center. The facility has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone available. All classrooms are in good condition with proper temperature and ventilation and are free of any hazards. All rooms have age-appropriate toys, equipment, and age-appropriate furniture. Furniture is steady and in good repair. All toilets, hand washing facilities are in good working condition with proper sanitation in place. All cleaning solutions, poisons, and other dangerous chemicals to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Outdoor play structures are age-appropriate and in good condition, with sufficient cushioning underneath. The facility has first aid supplies available at multiple locations.

LPA observed that the facility had posted the required forms. (i.e., License, menus, waivers, Notification of Parent's Rights, Notification of Personal Rights, Car Seat Law, and Emergency Disaster Plan). Due to the pandemic, the Center does not provide morning or afternoon snacks. Per Director, children bring their own drinking bottle, but the facility also has drinking water available for children indoor and outdoor. The kitchen area is clean and free of any toxins or contamination. All storage containers for solid waste within the Center have a proper tight-fitting cover.
