The applicants have requested a capacity of 72 preschool children (ages 2 - 6 years) and will operate Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The facility was inspected today, indoor and outdoor, for health and safety hazards and measured to calculate capacity.

All areas measure a total of 2840 square feet allowing for a capacity of 81 children. The facility is clean and equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, first aid kits, mats for napping, cubbies for children's personal belongings, two water fountains, a food preparation area, and toys and equipment for children. There is one bathroom for children's usage that is equipped with five toilets, five sinks and a changing table for children not yet toilet trained. There is a separate bathroom for staff usage. Bathrooms are clean and toilets and sinks are all operable. Total capacity for toilets and sinks is 75. Sign in and out and facility postings are located near the entrance of the facility. Sign in and out will be an electronic version, ProCare. The facility will provide lunch for children twice a week (in-house) and the remaining days lunch will be provided by outside vendors. Ill children will be Isolated in the directors office and the staff bathroom will be used, if needed, until parent arrives for pick up. Facility meets all posting requirements.
Outdoor: The outdoor area measures 1880 square feet allowing for 25 children. This area is clean and equipped with toys and equipment for children, climbing structure with sufficient cushioning, and drinking water will be provided. One side of the outdoor area is blacktopped and will be used for bike riding and other activities. The owner is contemplating using the blacktop area as a drive-thru drop off for children in the morning and afternoon. The remainder of the day it will be used for outdoor play only.
