25 | On October 1st, 2020 at 1:30 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kassandra Medrano met with Navin Chugh via Zoom call due to COVID-19 state of emergency. The purpose of the visit was explained, to inspect the room planned for use of their waiver. The facility has a requested a waiver operate temporarily during the COVID-19 state of emergency to provide care for school age children under this preschool license. The facility has plans of using "Room 5" with a cohort size no greater than 16 children and adults to accommodate the need for virtual learning for school age children. The Chugh state they plan on emptying out the room to place desks, and age appropriate materials. School age program will have their own restroom to prevent commingling of the programs. Supervision of school age children coming and going from the bathrooms and at the bathrooms is achieved by facility staff. Director to send proof of updates to classroom via email. The school age children will have the same entrance as the other programs. Facility states they will stagger times of pick up and drop off. As for lunch space the facility has the option to eat outside if the weather permits, but also in the classroom. The outdoor space also serves as play yard, which will be shared with the preschool program. Facility has a staggered schedule planned to ensure both groups of children get play time as well as following current health and safety protocol.
