13 | On February 8, 2022 at 1:44 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cowan met with Site Director, Linda Friedlin, for an unannounced subsequent Complaint Inspection. The purpose of inspection was explained. Present in the facility is Site Director and 6 staff caring for 34 children.
In today’s inspection, LPA along with Site Director, inspected for health and safety hazards. LPA observed no deficiencies during inspection.
During the course of investigation, interviews were conducted with director, staff member, children in care, and parents. There have been no witnesses to verify that staff is physically or verbally abusing children, giving excessive punishments, or denying therapeutic services to children in care. Director and staff state that a child was removed from playing with other children, but it was not for a punishment but for the safety of all children in care. Director states that she has encouraged therapy for the child, and requested that child only come with the help of a therapist.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. |
