25 | On April 8th, 2022 at 2:40pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced required annual and case management inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Licensee has requested to increase capacity from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present in the facility is assistant caring for 2 infant children Licensee arrived shortly after. All adults living and working in the home have a criminal record clearance on file. Fire Clearance was granted on March 17th, 2022. Fire Alarm and extinguisher are in the living room.
Licensee rents home, which is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, single level house. Licensee lives with Adult Daughter. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Daycare areas are: Living Room#1, Bathroom #1, Bedroom #1, Dining area, and Backyard. OFF limit areas: Living Room #2, Bedroom #2 & #3, Bathroom #2 (inside Bedroom #3), Kitchen (pass by only to backyard), Front yard, Driveway, and Side yards. All off limit areas, including all closets are properly barricaded.
LPA toured day care areas of home with Licensee. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair with proper temperature and ventilation. There were a variety of age appropriate toys and equipment in the home which were in good condition. Home does not have a fireplace. There were no pools, spas or bodies of water on the property. There is a small pet in the home. All cleaning supplies, poisons and other chemicals were stored inaccessible to children. Discipline Policy was discussed.
There was a fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm, and a working telephone on site. Phone number listed for Licensee is current. Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA reviewed children’s records. LPA also reviewed facility and employee records. Licensees CPR & First Aid Certificate expires on 2/2024. Mandated Reporter Certificate expires on 04/2024. Last emergency drill was conducted 08/2021. Emergency drills was not conducted at least once every six months. Licensee agrees that an Emergency Drill will be done within the next week and it will be properly logged.
