32 | There is an indoor water fountain for children to drink water indoors. All toxins and other hazardous items will be stored in a locked cabinet in the classroom and will be inaccessible to children. Isolation of ill children will be located either in a corner of the classroom or the director’s office in the classroom and staff bathroom will be used for the ill child.
Outdoor: The outdoor area measures 5502.814 square feet allowing for a total of 73 children. The outdoor area is observed to be clean, safe and equipped with toys and equipment for children. Resilient material located under climbing applicable climbing structures is a soft spongy type material. There will be cups and water pitchers to provide drinking water to children. Shade for children is provided by the building awning.
There is no food preparation at the facility; snacks and lunch will be provided by a catering service. The facility will offer a morning breakfast/snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. The facility will only utilize disposable single use paper products and disposable utensils when providing food to the children.
The following items were reviewed as part of today's visit: Record keeping for staff, children and facility records, Care and Supervision of the Children, Child Discipline Procedures, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Medication Policies, Isolation of Sick Children, Napping Requirements-cots will be used for napping, Food Service-catered in, Transportation-none provided, Parents Rights, and Reporting Requirements. The facility will conduct monthly disaster drills and a log will be maintained for review upon request. The fire inspection was conducted, and approval was received on 3/17/20. Covid postings were observed.
