25 | On March 9th, 2023, at 8:24AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with facility director Arianna Pacheco and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. The center operates Monday through Friday 7:30AM – 5:00PM. There were sixty (60) children in care at the time of the inspection, and eleven (11) teachers.
LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Facility uses an electronic format for sign in and out purposes. The facility is currently utilizing six (6) rooms for care and supervision. Each of the classrooms have age-appropriate toys and furniture, maintained in good condition, readily accessible for children in care, and classrooms have ample ventilation. Facility provides a variety of daily activities designed to meet the needs of children including but not limited to quiet and active play, and rest and relaxation. LPA observed all cleaning compounds, disinfectants, sharps, and tools to be elevated and inaccessible to children. Facility utilizes ample toilets, urinals, and sinks for children’s use. Facility uses cots for napping with child’s individual bedding stored separately. Children bring their own water bottles and snacks, and facility offers filter water.
The outdoor area has an ample amount of space for children to play with appropriate toys, shaded area, and perimeter fencing. Outdoor area is free of debris or broken glass that would potentially cause hard to children. There are no bodies of water present, and director stated no firearms or ammunition are present on campus.
Incident Medical Services are being provided. LPA observed one medical box, heightened and inaccessible to children, containing child’s medication with unaltered label, and not expired.
