1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	(3)Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ruth Gull and Christian Patterson made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a RANDOM/ANNUAL inspection and Change in Capacity. LPAs met with Director Jennifer Lewis and explained the purpose of the visit. The center is located on the grounds of Congregation B'Nai B'rith Church. The center operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. There was 1 toddler and 17 preschool children present. The facility was toured inside and outside. There are six classrooms with shared bathrooms. LPAs did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children. LPAs observed age appropriate toys/furnishings. LPAs reviewed the snack and lunch menu and the parent sign in/sign out sheets. LPAs observed that the outdoor play structure has sufficient cushioning. Drinking water is available both inside and outside. LPAs reviewed a sampling of children's records and staff records for proof of education credits. At least 2 Teachers present have current 1st Aid/CPR certificates valid until at least 09/2021. LPAs reviewed Staff Files for required AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training and proof of immunizations. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee is requesting to increase the toddler component to 20 children and decrease the preschool to 48 children. The toddler component will be using classrooms 1 and 2 and the preschool will be using classrooms 3-6. LPAs measured all classrooms and the two toddler play yards. Preschool program indoor square footage exceeds the requirement for 48 children. Toddler component indoor square footage exceeds the required square footage for 20 children. Toddler component outdoor square footage exceeds the requirement for 20 children. Two toilets, two changing tables, and five sinks in the toddler classrooms are available which exceeds the requirement for 20 children.

Fire clearance was approved on 09/24/19 for a total of 68 children. Center is licensed for 20 toddlers and 48 preschool children for a total of 68 children, effective today.

Director was reminded that the Child Care Center regulations could be accessed online at www.ccld.ca.gov LPA reviewed and provided Director with Effects of Lead Exposure Pamphlet with Director (To be provided to all current and future parents).

No deficiencies cited in areas that were inspected today. LIC 9213 (Notice of Site Visit) was posted.
