On February 25, 2020, at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Required Annual inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Barbara Wilson, Director of the CCC and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of the Director, toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. The CCC operates from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday. The preschool maintains five classroom but, at the time of the inspection, three ( Room 205, Room 204 and 203) classrooms are being used for child care. Forty four children are present at the time of the inspection.

The classrooms of the CCC were clean and organized. The classrooms had age appropriate toys and furnishings available for children. Each classroom had operable carbon monoxide detectors. The attached bathrooms were in safe and sanitary operating conditions. In total, twelve toilets and twelve sinks are accessible to children in care. The CCC's kitchen were observed to be clean and free of litter. Food and beverages capable of spoiling were stored in an operable refrigerator and freezer. Disinfectants and cleaning solutions were locked outside the classroom in a shed on the outside black top. The CCC's medications are locked in a hallway cabinet which is inaccessible to children and can only be opened by a key.

The CCC provides the children two snacks (mid-morning and mid day) as well as lunch. LPA reviewed posted menus in the CCC's hallway which notes the snacks and lunches served on site. Near the posted menus, LPA observed licensing required forms and documents posted. Sign In/Out forms were reviewed by the LPA and found to be completed appropriately.

The CCC's outdoor play area is enclosed by chain linked fencing and the fence’s entry/exit gates are secured. The play area is comprised of a sand box area, a grass lawn, a black top and a planter area. LPA observed age appropriate toys/play equipment in the play areas. The toys/play equipment are free of sharp, loose or pointed objects. The play structures in the outdoor play areas have adequate cushioning materials
