On 07/23/2020, 3:45pm LPA S. Mendoza-Ceja conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection with Lisa Chenoweth and her co-director regarding an increase of capacity. LPA advised due to COVID-19 State of Emergency and following the Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines of social distancing a virtual inspection would be conducted. LPA S. Mendoza-Ceja confirmed with Lisa Chenoweth that she had video capabilities with her cell phone using Facetime to conduct the tele-inspection.

The center was toured inside and outside. LPA observed Lisa Chenoweth and co-director measure the preschool and toddler classrooms, playground areas which were re-evaluated for an increase of capacity for 72 preschoolers and 12 toddlers . An updated facility sketch was received on July 8, 2020 due to the rearrangement of furniture in the preschool/toddler program areas. A daily schedule for activities which was received and reviewed which ensures the toddlers are not commingled with the preschoolers.

Preschool Program:

Indoors 2535 Square Feet meets the requirement for 72 children.
Eight sinks available throughout the center which exceeds the requirement for 75 children.
Five Toilets available for preschoolers meets the requirement for 75 children.
Preschool outdoor 6171 Square Feet meets the requirement for 82 children.
Shade was observed to be available outdoors

Toddler Program:

Indoor 513 Square Feet which exceeds the requirement for 12 toddlers
Two Potty Chairs and changing table are available for toddlers
One Sink, changing table, and two potty chairs are available for the toddlers which meets the requirement for 12 toddlers.

A scheduling plan was received to ensure the toddlers and preschool children are not commingled on the playground.

Licensee to submit a Waiver Requests for the following:
1. Scheduling Plan to ensure children are not commingled on the playground.
2. Allow toddlers to utilize the preschool bathroom where the potty chairs are maintained.

The Fire Clearance was granted July 16, 2020 for 84 children.


Review of the overall square footage indoors and outdoors, toilets, sinks, the center meets the requirement for 70 preschool children and 12 toddlers.

Licensure pending review of the Waivers.

Exit interview was conducted with LIsa Chenoweth via FaceTime. This report will be sent to via email with a read receipt or confirmation of receipt of email, which will act as the Director's signature.
