25 | On April 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced 1 Year Required inspection at the above child care center (CCC). The purpose of the inspection was discussed with Site Supervisor Ms. Rocio Hernandez Ramirez , who provided a tour of the CCC This is a preschool program with toddler option. The CCC operates from April to October every year. Hours of operations are Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
There were 7 Preschoolers, 3 Toddlers and 7 staff present. Children were observed napping when LPA arrived. LPA observed licensing required notices are posted prominently at the entrance door. Current menu is also posted. The CCC has two classrooms in use, one for toddler program and one for preschool program. There are total of 5 toilets and 7 sinks readily accessible for children in care. Age-appropriate games, activities, and furniture were available for children in both classrooms, and the outdoor playgrounds had age-appropriate toys and equipment with ample shade and wood chip cushioning under the play equipment. The CCC has water available for children inside and outside the classroom supplied by Ready Refresh vendor. Site Supervisor stated there are no guns or ammunition in the Center. Nobodies of water was observed.
Per AB2370 Written Directives, CCC had conducted the water lead test on December 10, 2022. Based on report submitted by the water sampler, there is no exceedance of 5 parts per billion (ppb) Action Level (AL)
A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Children's files were found complete. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate that expires on 9/23/2024. All Teachers have taken the Mandated Reporter Training, certificate expires on 4/3/2026.
