Today Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) S. Mendoza-Ceja and E. Baddley met with Director Susana Del Toro to conclude the complaint. Investigation included interviewing complainant, staff, some of the parents of children in care, and reviewing staff qualifications, and inspecting the center.
-Interviews conducted with staff revealed they were aware of the teacher child ratios. Director states the center follows the NAEYC Guidelines of 1Teacher to 8 preschool children in the classroom. The Director states they use aides (interns) for extra support for the teachers. Director states, she has substitue staff and will also work in the classroom to meet the teacher child ratios when necessary.

-Parent Interviews did not corroborate the above allegations inregards to unqualified staff, ratios, or napping area.
-LPAs inspected the center and observed the center to be in compliance with teacher child ratios on 06/3/2019, 06/12/2019, 06/13/2019, 07/29/2019, and 8/21/2019. LPAs also reviewed staff qualifications.

-Although these allegations may have occurred, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore, these allegations are deemed Unsubstantiated.
No deficiencies were cited. The LIC9213 (Notice of Site Visit) was posted during the visit.
Unsubstantiated
