1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On April 18, 2022 at 9:50 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisco Pedroza and Rona Chavez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPAs met with facility Director Maria Suarez and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPAs a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 22 children in care with seven (7) staff providing supervision. Licensing required notices were posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the facility and in each classroom. LPAs observed three (3) staff supervising five (5) infants in each of the infant classrooms. LPAs observed age appropriate toys and furnishings. The classroom had a changing table with sink readily accessible. LPAs observed enough cribs for the infants in care. Older infants/Toddlers are provided a cot to sleep on if they choose to sleep. Facility staff were conducting required sleep checks on the infants. Food and milk is stored within one (1) refrigerator located in the classroom. LPAs reviewed a sampling of Individual needs & services plans and feeding plans. Children bottles and food were properly labeled with child's name and date. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children. Center uses hand written sign-in and sign-out logs. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Currently the facility does not have children that require Incident Medical services (IMS). Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 10/02/2023. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 5/23/2023. LPAs verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. Facility is follow current Covid-19 and Safe Sleep guidelines. LPAs provided facility a Carbon Monoxide resource. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Continued on 809C

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed Director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director.

THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS POSTED AS REQUIRED BY H&S CODE SEC. 1596.817. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS OR A CIVIL PENALTY OF $100.00 WILL APPLY.
