25 | On May 12, 2023 at 2:15 PM, Licensing Program Analysts Gigi Reyes and Dixie Wright conducted an unannounced One (1) Year Required inspection at a Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and met with Licensee, Ana Perez. LPA discussed the purpose of the inspection with the licensee. There were no COVID-19 exposure on site.
During the inspection, LPAs toured the interior and exterior of the facility. Upon LPAs' arrival there were 4 children present, additional 7 school age children arrived. The required licensing forms were posted at the entrance door. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were also observed in the FCCH. The regulation fire extinguisher was purchased serviced on 4/15/2023. The facility conducts and documents fire and disaster drill every months, and the last drill was conducted on 12/7/2022.
The backyard of the FCCH was enclosed with brick, chain link, and wooden fence. LPAs observed appropriate toys and equipment. No bodies of water were observed on site. The licensee stated that there are no uns and ammunition in the home. LPA reviewed the facility file and found that the Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate expires on 10/22/24. LPAs reminded the licensee that AB 1207 should be renewed every two years. Licensee and assistant have immunization record on file.
